The Global Studies Program invites the campus community to the second panel in a special lecture series titled “20 Years after the Wall: 1989-2009,” commemorating the events of autumn 1989 and the opening of the Berlin Wall. The discussion will be held Monday, Oct. 26, from 7-8:30 p.m. in Plemmons Student Union’s Price Lake Room.

The Doorways International Program Series presents Dr. Craig Fischer, Associate Professor in the English Department, on the topic of giallo film in Italy on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 1:00 pm in the Belk Library and Information Commons, room 421. Free and open to campus and local community

The Office of International Education and Development is honored to host Ms. Antoinette Sithole, museum educator and curator of the Hector Pieterson Museum in Soweto, Johannesburg, South Africa.  Ms. Sithole will visit Appalachian State campus and the community of Boone during the week of November 9, 2009. Her second week in NC she will visit campus communities in the regional area.

Appalachian State is hosting the annual NCAIE International Student Leadership Conference Nov. 14-15, 2009.
