The Office of International Education & Development provides a wide range of services for international students, internationals scholars and international visitors.  This office assists students starting from the time they are admitted through the post-graduation experience.

A few of the services offered through Office of International Education & Development:

  • Airport pick-up service and transportation at beginning and end of each semester
  • Orientation to ASU and the Boone community
  • Academic advising for exchange students
  • Personal advising for all international students
  • Assistance with passport and travel documents for all students and faculty
  • Writing letters of reference or recommendation
  • Assistance with on-campus housing
  • Assistance with immigration issues
  • Coordinate health insurance for all international students and scholars
  • Collaborate with student employment, payroll and many offices across the campus to make international students experiences more friendly

Students come from all over the world to attend Appalachian State as either a degree seeking student or as exchange student.
